Coordinated Youth & Family Services

The Coordinated Youth and Family Services Project participates in a CCSI interagency approach to case planning and implementation. Case planning may include referrals to treatment and/or service providers with ongoing advocacy and comprehensive cases based on individual family needs. This project also administers the SIDNE (Simulated Impaired Driving Experience) to local high school seniors.

The Schoolbased Prevention/Youth Assistance Program provides substance abuse prevention education and a comprehensive approach to depression and suicide awareness in schools throughout Putnam County.

Arbor House – Youth Shelter Program

Serves: Runaway and Homeless Youth (Ages 10 – 21)

Arbor House offers a twenty-four-hour hotline, crisis intervention services, short-term counseling, temporary shelter to runaway and homeless youth under the age of 18, and case management and preventive counseling services for youth under the age of 21.

Carmel Juvenile Aid Bureau

The primary goal of the Town of Carmel Juvenile Aid Bureau is to reduce the number of youth under the age of 16 entering the juvenile justice system by reducing the number of youth involved in alcohol/substance abuse activities. The program is available to provide services to youth on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis. Services include education, counseling, and referral.

The primary objective of this program is to reduce juvenile involvement in crime. The program assists youth by providing guidance, direction and education through the school system. Objectives are accomplished through continuing cooperation from Social Services, Family Court, the Probation Department and local school systems.
