Youth Court is a family court diversion program aimed at reducing juvenile delinquency in the county. Youth Court volunteer members range in ages 12-19 and come from various communities and school districts in Putnam. Members must complete a 10-week training program. Youth Court members hear cases of first time offenders between ages 7 and 16. This program offers these youth an opportunity to constructively assume responsibility for their actions and a chance to learn about the justice system.
