Global Traffic Safety practice at the Historic Courthouse

Yesterday our Highway Safety Planning Committee gathered at the Historic Courthouse to practice for their upcoming peer-led Teen Driving Presentations. The presentations, in honor of May being Global Youth Traffic Safety Month, will take place on Wednesday, May 18th and Wednesday, May 25th (see the flyer on the first page of this newsletter for more information).

The Putnam County Youth Bureau was established by the Board of Supervisors in 1979 and is part of the Departments of Mental Health, Social Services and Youth Bureau and a liaison to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

The Putnam County Youth Bureau is responsible to the County Executive for coordinating and supplementing the activities of public, private and religious agencies devoted in whole or in part to the welfare, development and protection of youth.
