The Putnam County Department of Health is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Public Health Program Aide.
Work involves providing support to professional public health department personnel by performing a variety of sub-professional tasks directly related to the professional work. Responsibilities include public outreach, clerical support and a variety of sub-professional tasks directly relating to public health education and nursing. Work is performed under direct supervision of the Supervising Public Health Educator and/or the Supervising Public Health Nurse. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. Performs related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a comparable diploma and two (2) years of work experience which involved use of computer applications to manage data, maintain records and/or prepare reports.
SUBSTITUTION NOTE: Post-secondary level (High School) education may be substituted for each year of the required experience on a year for year basis as indicated above based on thirty (30) college credits per year of experience.
PLEASE NOTE: Education beyond the secondary level must be from an institution accredited or recognized by the Board of Regents of the New York State Department of Education as a post-secondary, degree-granting institution.
SCHEDULE: Part-Time, 20 Hours per week
PAY: $25 per hour
