Job Description:
Drug Pre-Screening Test Required. P/T 8am -12noon Mon-Fri. POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of the Administrative/Office Assistant is to provide daily administrative support to the coordinator and to sisters in the community, to ensure efficient operation of the office and the community overall. This position completes various clerical functions specific projects and other administrative and general responsibilities as assigned. Special duties, pertaining to the Chi-Rho Sisters are performed at the request of the coordinator and as outlined below. This position performs in a professional manner with all departments that interface with the Chi-Rho Community. The Administrative/Office Assistant is required to maintain confidentiality regarding all matters in the community including resident records, documents and any information that may be encountered during the scope of duties.
ESSENTIAL FUCTIONS, LISTED IN PRIORITY
GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides general administrative and clerical support to include Serves as receptionist in the Chi Rho Community Office, assisting Sisters and/or others who come to the office, answers the telephone and hosts guests as needed. Mail pick-up and delivery for Chi-Rho Box 510. Prepares, types and distributes materials as needed. Maintains files and records as appropriate. Posts bulletin board notices and/or delivers items. Oversees office supplies and equipment, gifts and other resources.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to address elders in a warm and gracious manner. Ability to perform general office tasks. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn software appropriate to the department. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1-2 years in office and clerical work. Previous experience working with elders, preferred. Social Service background helpful. MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED. Associates Degree in Business or Secretarial Science, preferred of a combination of education and experience needed.
