Last week, the Town of Patterson and The Duffle Bag hosted the first of their two free, summer concerts at the Patterson Recreation Center on Front Street. The All American Concert drew a large audience and attracted people of all ages who enjoyed the patriotic, pop and Broadway music written by American composers.
A second free concert is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6 when the 42nd Infantry Division Band will perform at from 7 to 9 p.m. many of the band members are veterans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Musical themes will include jaunty military marches, as well as pop, Latin, and patriotic selections. Sponsors for the Aug. 6 show include The American Veterans Historical Museum, The Duffle Bag, and the Town of Patterson.
