COVID Update – November 13

COVID cases are substantially increasing across the country, and Putnam is no different. According to NYSDOH data, as of 11/12 the 7-day average positivity rate in Putnam county is 4.2%. This is the fourth day above 3.5%. If positivity rates continue to stay above 3.5% for ten days, Putnam will be designated a yellow zone under the current cluster initiative guidance. Putnam residents have come too far to go back. Please continue to wear your mask, keep your distance, wash your hands, and avoid gatherings with people outside of your household.

Although the Community Impact Dashboard will be delayed this week due to changes in state/county reporting databases, testing rates and case numbers for the county can be found at https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county-dashboard
