RSVP volunteers, by sharing the experiences of a lifetime, make a valuable contribution of their time and talents to the nonprofit agencies and organizations in which they serve.

• Food Pantries – Stock and fill bags of groceries.

• Health Screening – Conduct blood pressure screening.

• Companionship/Outreach – Shop for the homebound.

• Guiding Eyes – Train puppies for the blind.

• Nursing Home – Visit lonely seniors.

• Blind – Read mail to seniors.

• Cancer – Drive seniors to cancer treatments.

• Cancer – Sew cancer pads for patients.

• Birthright – Assist in Carmel office.

• Literacy – Teach reading to functionally illiterate.

• Historian – Enter data about local history.

• Library – Library skills needed in every town.

• 4-H Fair – Work at the bake tent or park cars.

• Tutoring Children – Tutor children in reading at all elementary schools.

• Camp Herrlich – Needs active nature lovers.

• Social Services – Make phone calls for Medicaid.

• Thrift Stores – Sort and sell used items.

• Transportation – Drive seniors to doctor appointments in our cars.

• Little Angels – Supervise visitations.

• Score – Service Corps of Retired Executives, small business counseling.

• Triad – Works with sheriff, RSVP volunteers and police to reduce crime against seniors

• Chorus and Line Dancing needed to entertain at nursing homes.

• Spanish – Help fill out forms for Spanish speaking people.

• Mediation – Help discuss conflicting issues.

• Red Cross – Educate seniors in disaster preparedness.
