About Us
Our Mission
RSVP stands for Retired and Senior Volunteer
Program. It is funded by the Corporation for National and
Community Service and the Putnam County Office for the Aging.
The Program enables adults, 55 and older to
contribute meaningful service in a wide variety of community
agencies.
RSVP Volunteers are matched with assignments
of their own choosing. The program provides orientation,
training, as well as supplementary insurance while on duty.
And RSVP celebrates the energy and efforts of its volunteers
with an annual recognition event - a small token of appreciation
for dedicated community service.
In Putnam County, over 450 RSVP volunteers are
presently giving 100,000 hours of experience, skill, and wisdom
to help their fellow man. They are also meeting new people
and making new friends. They are actively contributing to
community life and helping others in need.
RSVP volunteers lead more active, dynamic
lives, full of the
excitement of participation.
