The Putnam County Dept. of IT/GIS seeks a qualified candidate for the position of IT Systems Specialist. Responsible for installation, maintenance and relocation of servers and associated peripheral equipment, management of the physical environment, configuration and administration of physical and virtual server complexes, including installation of operating systems and support software.
Minimum requirements include a combination of education and experience as follows:

a) Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT or closely related field and three (3) years of primary function was server admin., including installation, operation, maintenance, problem-diagnosis of servers (must include experience with Windows server 2008 and 2012, and MS structured query language (SQL server) plus experience with associated equipment, SharePoint admin., Active Directory, Anti-Virus, and MS Exchange;

OR

b) Bachelor’s or AA degree, or 60 college credits and four (4) years of experience involving as noted above;

OR

c) H.S. degree and five (5) years of experience involving as noted in (a).

Putnam County Highways & Facilities Department seeks a qualified professional to act as Chief Federal Project Coordinator for all federally funded efforts, manage financial resources and information for each project, and ensure compliance with all federal & state laws, regulations and requirements. Minimum qualifications:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and six (6) years of experience with project management, construction management, construction contracts, and quality assurance/quality control procedures of complex transportation projects totaling $2 million or more; or

b) Level III Certification in Civil Engineering Technology issued by National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in the area of Transportation, and at least one other area (i.e. Building Construction, Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical, Land Management and Water Control or Underground Utilities Construction), and ten (10) years of experience as described in a) above.

Transports and provides personal security for the County Executive.

Minimum qualifications: Graduation from High School or possession of a comparable diploma and at least ten (10) years of police investigation work that involved significant, daily public contact and interaction.

Salary: $36,000
