Answer: The New York State Department of Civil Service does not recommend any commercially available Test Guides for Civil Service exams. The NYS Dept. of Civil Service provides the test guides you will find by clicking the link above. If your exam is not listed there, that means that the NYS Dept of Civil Service expects that if you meet the minimum qualifications to take the exam, you can use your own resources and experience to prepare yourself for the questions described in the “Subject of Examination” section of the Exam Announcement for the examination you plan to take.
