Sam is a lifelong resident of Putnam Valley who served five (5) years on the Putnam Valley Town Board prior to being elected to the Putnam County Legislature in 1996. Sam has been a strong proponent of fiscal conservatism and quality of life issues. Sam has served on all committees and has chaired the Personnel and Health Committees. Sam is an Assistant Principal at the Putnam Valley High School.

"There are no greater reasons for the existence of our current charter government than to provide for the health and safety of our residents, coupled with strong quality of life initiatives at a cost that does not overburden our taxpayers. In the future, we must deal with the threat of rapid and rampant residential development and a stressed infrastructure. These are concerns that impact each and every one of us.
