Deputy County Executive

John
Tully was appointed the Deputy County Executive in 2006 after
serving in County government as County Auditor, Deputy
Commissioner of Finance and Director of Purchasing/Information
Technology. Mr. Tully graduated from Niagara University with a
degree in Business Management and attended the prestigious
Kennedy School of Government. Mr. Tully supports the County
Executive by serving as liaison between the Administration and
the County Legislature as well as representing the
Administration’s position to other offices such as DEP, DEC,
town and village administrations and other elected officials.Mr.
Tully’s vast knowledge of various County departments gives him
the expertise to oversee various projects relating to
communications, purchasing and other cost savings initiatives.
Mr. Tully plays a critical role in major capital projects such
as the new Courthouse, technology infrastructure improvements
and various highway and environmental projects. Mr. Tully also
plays an integral part in the budget creation process, offering
advice and consultation to the County Executive on fiscal issues
of importance.
