Byrne Visits Roaring Brook Lake Community

07 June 2023

Carmel, NY – Over the weekend, Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne was invited to speak with residents of the Roaring Brook Lake Property Owners Association in Putnam Valley. Byrne gave a brief update on his administration priorities, early successes, and then followed this up with about an hour of Q&A. Topics included the Peekskill Hollow Road Bridge Project, the national migrant crisis affecting the Hudson Valley, proposed legislation about declaring Putnam a Constitutional County, and environmental concerns.

Byrne is the first County Executive to ever come before the Roaring Brook Lake residents to speak and answer questions.

Byrne stated, “I grew up in Putnam Valley and have many special memories from spending time at Roaring Brook Lake, where I literally learned to swim. It was great to be back, and I appreciate the opportunity to meet and speak with members of the community.”

Welcome Message

“Remember that Putnam County is home. Regardless of what may make us different as individuals, it is our respect for each-other as neighbors, our desire to step up and serve, to lend a hand, and leave this beautiful county better off than we found it. That is what makes this place so special. It is with that in mind that we as a county government are here to serve, and will always serve, with a desire to do better.” - Kevin M. Byrne | Putnam County Executive
