Carmel, NY – Today, Putnam County Executive Kevin Byrne officially announced the appointment of Patricia “Trish” McLoughlin as the new Director of Real Property Tax Services. With over 30 years of appraisal and assessment experience, including owning her own business, McLoughlin brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.
"I am delighted to welcome Trish McLoughlin as our new Director of Real Property Tax Services," said County Executive Byrne. "Her extensive experience in the field, coupled with her strong commitment to excellence, make her an exceptional choice for this position. I have full confidence in Patricia's ability to lead the department effectively and work with our partners in all of our towns.”
McLoughlin's appointment comes as Lisa Johnson, the outgoing Director, retired last week after more than 20 years of service to Putnam County.
"I am honored and excited to join the team at Putnam County as the Director of Real Property Tax Services and I thank County Executive Kevin Byrne for the opportunity to serve," said Trish McLoughlin. "I look forward to leveraging my appraisal and assessment experience to effectively manage the department and provide exceptional service to the residents of Putnam County. It is a privilege to contribute to the continued success and growth of this community."
McLoughlin was selected by County Executive Byrne following a competitive interview process which was conducted by a selection committee that included Chairman of the County Legislature Paul Jonke, Deputy County Executive Jim Burpoe and Director of Personnel Paul Eldridge.
“Putnam County residents can be assured that the transition of leadership in the Real Property Tax Services department will be seamless,” said Chairman Paul Jonke. “Trish McLoughlin is a highly respected individual with an extremely impressive resume who will serve the residents of our county well. I’m excited she’s agreed to come on board.”
County Executive Byrne also expressed his gratitude for Lisa Johnson's service to Putnam County. "I want to extend my deepest appreciation to Lisa Johnson for her many years of dedicated service," said Byrne. "We wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement."
“I’ve had the privilege of serving under four different County Executives during my tenure with Putnam County, and I’ve cherished every year of service,” said Lisa Johnson. “I thank County Executive Byrne for the opportunity and I’m confident that the residents will be in good hands going forward.”
The County Executive's office will work closely with McLoughlin to ensure a smooth and successful transition, providing continuity in the delivery of essential property tax services to the community.
McLoughlin’s appointment has been presented to the Legislature for their review and consideration.
