Propane Gas Installation & Testing Procedures

Installation:
• Steel piping with malleable fittings
• Outside meter rigging to be painted
• All piping to be block braced and supported
• Main shut off valve
• All appliances to be own shut off valve

Testing: Underground
• Standing column of water testing - 5” for 1 hour
• Mercury testing (if applicable)
• NO underground fittings or joints
• Copper coated with flare fittings

Above Ground
• Standing column of water testing - 5” for 1 hour (or mercury testing)
