Please be advised that Putnam County will be suspending all transportation services on Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 15 due to inclement weather and blizzard conditions.  Based on safety consideration service will be restored as soon as possible.  Croton Falls Commuter Shuttle should make alternate transportation plans to connect with MNR for Tuesday and Wednesday.

NEW CITIZENS AT RESCHEDULED NATURALIZATION CEREMONY ON
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12, 2017, AT 10:00 A.M., AT
THE PUTNAM COUNTY HISTORIC COURTHOUSE IN CARMEL, NY
Putnam County Clerk Michael C. Bartolotti will host a Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Putnam County Historic Courthouse, 44 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel. At the ceremony, Clerk Bartolotti will administer the Oath of Allegiance to 36 new citizens.

The Color Guard of American Legion Post 1080 will open and retire the ceremony. The Opening Prayer will be led by Sheriff Donald B. Smith, Jr. The Honorable Paul I. Marx will serve as the officiating Supreme Court Justice and will offer welcoming remarks. County Clerk Bartolotti will administer the Oath of Allegiance to 36 new citizens. Director of Veterans Affairs Karl Rhode will lead all in the Pledge of Allegiance.

APRIL DESIGNATED AS 30 DAY PERIOD FOR REQUESTS FOR INCLUSION IN COUNTY AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT FOR 2017
The Putnam County Legislature has designated the month of April as the time period when landowners may file a request for inclusion of land in the Putnam County Agricultural District. To be eligible for inclusion, the property must be a viable agricultural entity or business. The necessary information for consideration for inclusion is the name of the owner of the property, the address of the property, the tax map number(s) of the property and the amount of acreage that is in agricultural use. Requests for inclusion should be sent to the Clerk of the Putnam County Legislature, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512 no later than April 30, 2017.
